To guarantee maximum professionalism, TEAK austria has established its own Research & Development Department. It is entrusted with a wide range of issues such as planting teak in Costa Rica under ideal conditions, optimising quality and growth and of course materials research and product development.
There are 3 major fields of research (see organigram).
TEAK austria closely cooperates with institutions such as the BOKU Vienna (University of Life Sciences Vienna).
Our major research areas are part of a fundamental research programme with which we have applied for financial support at the FFG (Austrian Research Promotion Agency). After a sophisticated selection procedure, we proudly fulfilled all criteria and gladly, our application was accepted.
Gradually, TEAK austria's R&D Department wants to establish itself as a competence centre for teak plantation wood and wants to become a major international source of teak know-how.
